Types of Dental Anesthesia
Topical Anesthesia
Topical anesthesia provides superficial numbing of the soft tissues. It is applied to the oral mucosa as a spray, gel, or ointment.

Infiltration Anesthesia

- Treatment of moderate and deep cavities
Nerve Block Anesthesia
Nerve block anesthesia is used when the treatment area is larger than what can be effectively numbed with infiltration anesthesia. It primarily blocks branches of the trigeminal nerve, allowing several teeth and the surrounding soft tissues to be numbed at once. It is an effective option for longer or more extensive procedures.

- Flap surgery
Contraindications
